FOUR-TIME CHAMPION
At the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, fourth-year Ethan Dabbs re-
corded a historic moment. He became the first competitor to win four ACC javelin titles.
Dabbs didn't waste any time in his hunt for a fourth crown. His first throw of 73.09
meters (239 feet, 9 inches) turned out to be the best of the competition. In the his-
tory of the Atlantic Coast Conference, he became just the 12th individual to win four
conference titles in any men's track and field event and the 20th overall among all
men's and women's competitors.
A native of Johnstown, Pa., Dabbs was the runner-up at last year's NCAA Champion-
ships. He'll chase the crown again in June in Austin, Texas.
