In the years since, Michigan's re- cruiting classes have averaged a No. 15 ranking. While that's nothing to frown upon in an era of 120 Foot- ball Bowl Subdivision teams, it is not among the nation's recruiting elite. With a top-five recruiting class and a 10-2 regular season record, Brady Hoke's coaching staff appears ready to return to that level. WOLVERINES GET STARTED FOR 2013 Michigan's nearly complete 2012 recruiting class has allowed the coaching staff to shift their focus — at least partially — to next year's group. Warren (Mich.) De La Salle quarterback Shane Morris is expected to be the headliner, and he showed his talent this year by passing for 1,644 yards and 19 touchdowns in a run-heavy system. Alliance (Ohio) Marlington defensive back Dymonte Thomas, a 6-1, 185-pound safety with 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash, is the other committed prospect. Catholic running back Ty Isaac, Baltimore Gilman defensive tackle Henry Poggi, and Austintown (Ohio) Fitch defensive end Billy Price. All three are expected to be rated among the best in the nation at their respective positions when Ri- vals.com releases its initial rankings for the 2013 class.
