NFL PLAYER UPDATES Through Dec. 1 • Adrian Arrington (Played at U-M from 2005-07), WR, New Orleans Saints: Has played in three games and caught one pass for 14 yards. • Jason Avant (2002-05), WR, Phila- delphia Eagles: Has hauled in 43 recep- tions for 557 yards and one touchdown in 11 games, including five starts. • David Baas (2001-04), OL, New York Giants: Has started at center all nine games in which he's appeared, missing two with injury. • Jeff Backus (1997-2000), OT, De- troit Lions: Has started at left tackle in each of the Lions' first 11 contests. • Tom Brady (1997-99), QB, New Eng- land Patriots: Has started 11 games and connected on 277 of 421 passes for 3,627 yards with 28 touchdowns and 10 interceptions … Has a passer rating of 105.1, which ranks second in the NFL … Also ranks second in passing yardage and touchdowns. • Alan Branch (2004-06), DT, Seat- tle Seahawks: Has registered 12 solo tackles, eight assists, one sack and three tackles for loss in 10 starts, missing one game with an ankle injury. • Steve Breaston (2003-06), WR, Kan- sas City Chiefs: Has started nine of 11 games and hauled in 43 passes for 600 yards and two touchdowns. • Steve Brown (2006-09), S, In- dianapolis Colts: Has played in eight games and notched four solo tackles and one assist. • Braylon Edwards (2001-04), WR, San Francisco 49ers: Has notched 14 receptions for 172 yards in seven games (four starts), missing four games with a knee injury. • Jay Feely (1995-98), PK, Arizona Cardinals: Is 24 of 24 on extra points and 11 of 16 on field goals through 11 games. • Larry Foote (1998-2001), LB, Pitts- burgh Steelers: Has registered 27 solo tackles, 15 assists, two tackles for loss, one sack, one pass breakup and two quarterback hurries through 11 games (four starts). • Jonathan Goodwin (1999-2001), C, San Francisco 49ers: Has started at center in each of the 49ers's first 11 games. • Brandon Graham (2006-09), DE, Philadelphia Eagles: Has played in two games and notched four tackles, all solo, since returning from the physically un- able to perform list in October. • James Hall (1996-99), DE, St. Louis Rams: Has recorded 28 solo tackles, nine assists, five tackles for loss, four sacks, five quarterback hurries and two pass breakups in 11 starts. • Leon Hall (2003-06), CB, Cincinnati Bengals: Went to injured reserve with an Achilles tendon injury after week 10 and is out for the year … Registered 29 solo tackles, three assists, two inter- ceptions and five pass breakups in nine starts. • David Harris (2003-06), LB, New York Jets: Has notched 46 solo tack- les, 15 assists, five tackles for loss, three sacks, six quarterback hurries, four pass breakups and two interceptions (one of which he returned 35 yards for touch- down) in 11 starts. • Chad Henne (2004-07), QB, Miami Dolphins: Out for the year following shoulder surgery for an injury suffered in week four … Completed 64 of 112 passes for 868 yards with four touch- downs and four interceptions and ran 14 times for 101 yards in four starts … Finished with a passer rating of 79.0. • Steve Hutchinson (1997-2000), OG, Minnesota Vikings: Has started at left guard in each of the Vikings' first 11 contests. • Tim Jamison (2005-08), DE, Hous- ton Texans: Has recorded nine solo tackles, two assists, two tackles for loss, two sacks, two quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 11 games. • Jake Long (2004-07), OT, Miami Dolphins: Has started at left tackle in each of the Dolphins' first 11 games. • Mario Manningham (2005-07), WR, New York Giants: Has started nine games, missing two with injury, and caught 34 passes for 404 yards and three touchdowns. • Zoltan Mesko (2006-09), P, New England Patriots: Has punted 38 times in 11 games, averaging 46.1 yards over- all and 40.7 net … Has dropped 13 kicks inside the 20. • Brandon Minor (2006-09), RB, Free Agent: Spent the first five weeks of the season on injured reserve before being cut by the Denver Broncos Oct. 10. • Jonas Mouton (2007-10), LB, San Diego Chargers: Out for the season after being placed on injured reserve HEADLINERS Former Michigan athletes in the news this month Mike Komisarek • NHL The Toronto and former Michigan defenseman will miss at least eight weeks following surgery for a broken arm suffered Nov. 16, the team reported. Komisarek had been playing some of his best hockey in Toronto at the time of his injury, according to reports. Tom Brady • NFL The New England quarterback was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for November, the team reported Dec. 1, the fifth time he's won the award. New England went 3-1 in November behind Brady's 106.3 quarterback rating, 1,266 yards passing and 10 touchdowns. He threw only two interceptions in four games. Jamal Crawford • NBA With the NBA season slated to get underway on Dec. 25, the for- mer Wolverine and current unrestricted free agent is still searching for a team. Crawford has spent the last few years in Atlanta and isn't ruling out a return, but he's hearing from New Jersey, New Orleans, Chicago, Miami, the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas, Phoenix and Portland, according to Hoopsworld.com.
