Notre Dame players were selected in the two-round NBA Draft held June 25: guard Jerian Grant
in the first round (19th overall) and swingman Pat Con-
naughton in the second (41st). Not only did it mark the first
time since Ryan Humphrey's selection in 2002 that Notre
Dame had someone chosen in the first round, but it was
also only the second time since 1982 that a pair of Irish
players were chosen in the first two rounds of the same
draft. The other was 1992 with forward LaPhonso Ellis
(5th overall) and guard Elmer Bennett (38th).
