UNDER THE DOME Nickname: "Fridge, like refrigerator." Dorm: "Siegfried Hall" Major: "Film, Television and Theatre, with a focus on film." Favorite movie: "Jurassic Park. Watched it all the time when I was little. I just loved dinosaurs." Favorite TV show: "The Simpsons. I like the older seasons more. I watched them growing up." We've done every- thing together." Best pitcher you've faced: "That's a tough one. I'll probably go with [Former Maryland pitcher] Jake Stinnett." Place for a last meal: "I'd probably like to have a last meal at Wrigley Field. Hot dogs, lots of chicken fingers, and a big blue Gatorade to drink." Getting To Know … JUNIOR CATCHER RYAN LIDGE Notre Dame's goal of maintain- ing visibility in the big three foot- ball recruiting states of California, Florida and Texas took another step forward. On July 9, the Jacksonville Sports Council announced that Notre Dame and Navy will meet Nov. 5, 2016, at EverBank Field in Jackson- ville. Per the Naval Academy, the Jacksonville area features "50,000 active duty, reserve and civilian men and women" employed at vari- ous military installations. Notre Dame and Navy have met every season since 1927, with the Midshipmen hosting in even- numbered years. Those games have been held in big-city venues such as Cleveland, Philadelphia and Bal- timore (plus Ireland in 1996 and 2012), although last year 's game at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., had an attendance of only 36,807, one of the fewest for a Fighting Irish game in the last 30 years. Notre Dame's football scheduling aspires to hit major locales across the country every season and spe- cifically targets the most fertile re- cruiting territories in the country. • California is covered with an- nual games at Stanford in odd- numbered years and at USC in the even-numbered ones. There had been reported conversations about Notre Dame and Navy meeting in San Diego — another huge naval base — in 2016, and the possibility might still loom in 2018.
