All the schools have had past Notre Dame ties, including UMass, where former Irish assistant Charley Molnar was the head coach in 2012-13. Two other ex-Irish assistants, Brian Polian and Chuck Mar- tin, are the head coaches at Nevada and Miami (Ohio), respectively, while Ball State featured former Notre Dame administrators Bill Scholl, now the athletics director at Mar- quette, and Brian Hardin, who went with Scholl to Marquette. So far, here is how the 2019 Fighting Irish schedule is form- ing, including six ACC games: Sept. 2 — at Louisville (Labor Day) Sept. 14 —New Mexico Sept. 21 — at Georgia Sept. 28 — Virginia Oct. 19 — at Georgia Tech Nov. 2 — Virginia Tech Nov. 9 — at Duke Nov. 23 — Boston College The three mainstays on the schedule — Navy, USC and Stanford — have dates to be determined.
