senior C.J. Prosise's
toolbox has provided
a variety of skill sets the past
several years.
The 6-1, 220-pound athlete
began his career at safety, au-
ditioned at outside linebacker
and then moved to wide re-
ceiver, where he averaged a
team-high 17.8 yards per his
29 catches in 2014. Just for
good measure, he also earned
Special Teams Player of the
Year for the Fighting Irish last
season by pacing the team in
tackles made on both kickoffs
(eight) and punts (three) for a
team-high 11.
So for his encore as a se-
nior, Prosise will line up at
running back, where he could
be the X-factor that makes a
good offense a great one.
The last time Prosise took
a handoff in a game situa-
tion, he romped for a 50-
yard touchdown off the jet
sweep during the Music
City Bowl versus LSU that
knotted the game at 28,

In 2014, Prosise became the first Irish player in five years to
accumulate more than 500 receiving yards (516) and 100 rush-
ing yards (126) in the same season.
