Ara not only stressed the importance of his players being in good shape, he also wanted the coaches to work out on regular schedule — playing basketball, handball, running and lifting on the Nautilus machines a couple of times a week to increase strength and add flex- ibility. Spiritual Fitness — Knights seek a center of peace, based on understand- ing we were put on this earth for the purpose of making a positive differ- ence. A knight has respect for all living things and does not lie, steal, or kill out of vengeance … Knights believe that the Kingdom of Heaven is inside of us all and all around us. The universal values of love, service to others, and kindness transcend spe- cific religious denominations and they make the world a better place. A Knight realizes God has put an amazing light within him and so he is confident he can be a force for good even in the face of evil and negativity. Each of these virtues is important by itself. When they all come together in one person, the result is a powerful force for good.
