This will be his last chance to win a full-time spot and finally show the talent that made him such a heavily recruited prospect. Okwara led Notre Dame in sacks as a junior with four, but largely struggled to produce throughout the season. Out- side of those sacks, Okwara had no additional tackles for loss and finished the season without a quarterback hurry. The Irish struggled with their pass rush throughout the 2014 season and a big part of that was the lack of pro- duction they got on the edge. Okwara must be a part of fixing that if he is go- ing to continue starting. He has good length, is a strong player and is a solid all-around athlete, but has yet to master the pass-rushing repertoire needed to attack the backfield. Now a senior, Okwara must finally become a factor as a pass rusher. ✦ Defensive end Romeo Okwara racked up a team-leading four sacks as a junior, but is looking for more production off the edge.
