FROM OUR READERS • Not only can Jim coach but he also is a great judge of talent, be it a player or coach. He will get it right most of the time. That's why I did not panic when he was accepting two- and three-star commits. He will do what's best for Michi- gan. Sweet C • If you can't feel happy for [D.J.] Durkin and excited about Michigan watching his presser you are seri- ously selfish — check it out. The guy worked his tail off this last year and made a quick move up. The AD and Maryland athletic de- partment really see how special Michigan and Jim Harbaugh are. Section44 • I just finished watching his press conference. He was smiling from ear to ear for a while when he first stepped up to the podium. I'm sure that was a moment he has dreamed about his whole life. You can't be mad at a guy for that. He truly seems like a good dude. I wish him the best except when they play Michigan. I hope he can elevate Maryland's football program because it would strengthen the conference as a whole. P.S. It's funny how the Jim Harbaugh coaching tree at Michigan is already bearing fruit. D.J. Durkin may be the first apple to drop, but he sure as hell won't be the last. Go Blue! zmerryman • Saw a post or tweet yesterday (will try to find it and link it) that said Harbaugh's college coaching tree has already produced six Division I head coaches. I think the list is D.J. Durkin (Maryland), David Shaw (Stanford), Wil- D.J. Durkin was hired to be the head coach at Maryland after one season as Michigan's defensive coordinator.
