THE WOLVERINE 2014 FOOTBALL PREVIEW ■ 111 WR PLAYER BIOS POSITION COACH Jeff Hecklinski is in his fourth year with U-M as the team's wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator. He spent two years as Michigan head coach Brady Hoke's recruiting coordinator at San Diego State (2009-10), and previously coached wide receivers at Ball State (2004-08) and quarterbacks at Arizona (2003), and was the offensive coordinator at Central Missouri State (2001-02). Last year, Hecklinski directed a group of receivers that was led by Jeremy Gallon, who has since graduated and been drafted by the New England Patriots. Gallon broke the Michigan single-season receiving-yardage record, with 1,373 yards and nine touchdowns on 80 catches (16.1 yards per catch). While at Ball State, Hecklinski helped develop All-Amer- ican wideout Dante Ridgeway, who was one of three final- ists for the Biletnikoff Award in 2004. As a player, Hecklinski passed for 5,980 career yards at Western Illinois. RETURNING PLAYERS ANTHONY CAPATINA • WR 5th-Sr. • Novi, Mich.
