THE WOLVERINE 2014 FOOTBALL PREVIEW ■ 131 OL PLAYER BIOS POSITION COACH Darrell Funk is in his fourth year as the offensive line coach for the Wolver- ines. He previously served under Brady Hoke in the same capacity at both San Diego State (2009-10) and Ball State (2008). Two Wolverine offensive linemen who graduated after the 2013 season — Taylor Lewan and Michael Schofield — were selected in the 2014 NFL Draft. Lewan was taken with the 11th over- all pick by the Tennessee Titans. Schofield was selected in the third round with the No. 95 overall pick by the Denver Broncos. In 2010, Funk's offensive line helped San Diego State finish 12th in the country in passing yards (295.4 yards per game) and 16th in total offense (456.7 yards per game). He also helped lead Ball State to a 12-2 record in his only season in Muncie, Ind. Funk previously honed his craft under Colorado State head coach Sonny Lubick (2003-07) and also spent time as Northern Illinois' tight ends coach (2001-02). Funk has first-hand experience in the trenches, playing on both the offensive and defensive lines for Colorado State from 1983-86.
