2015 RECRUITING ISSUE The name Jon Runyan conjures up fond memories for Michigan fans. Recruited as a 6-8, 260-pound tight end out of Flint, Runyan spent a year packing on the mass to play on the offensive line, than was a three- year starter for units that paved the way for an average of more than 200 rushing yards per game. He earned All-America honors as a left tackle in 1995, and opted to forego his final year of college eligibility to declare for the NFL Draft, where the Houston Oilers picked him in the fourth round. After 14 years in the National Foot- ball League (including a Pro Bowl Jon Runyan Jr. Is Following In His Father's Footsteps U-M became Runyan's first offer at the 2013 Wolverine Technique School summer camp prior to his junior year of high school ball, and it took him less than a week to accept.
