Wexford (Pa.) North Allegheny
four-star junior offensive tackle Joshua
Lugg claims that he knew where he
wanted to go to school long before he
visited Notre Dame for a second time
in late July. He just had to show his
mom South Bend before getting the
approval to commit to the Irish.
Lugg, who is ranked by Rivals as
the No. 21 offensive tackle in the class
of 2017, was on campus for a lineman
camp with his father and brother in
June. He arrived as a prospect the staff
liked, and left as one that the coaches
loved after they saw him work out.
That's why a scholarship offer
came from the Irish a few days after
the camp, Lugg claims that he knew
Notre Dame was probably going to
be the school to beat for his services
because of the coaches and the envi-
ronment.
"After the visit, I had an idea that
Notre Dame was the place I was going
to be going to for school," Lugg said.
