At the time of the matchup Feb. 5, the Spartans were just 11-12, but still battled the Wolverines in East Lansing. The Spartans actually outscored the Wolverines in the second half, 38-35, but the 16-point halftime deficit was too much to overcome. Senior forward Cye- sha Goree played 38 minutes and posted a double-double with a 17-point, 11-rebound performance. Freshman guard Katelynn Flaherty led Michigan in scoring with 19. Worst Loss — 63-62 vs. Northwestern: Despite double-digit scoring ef- forts from sophomore guard Siera Thompson (15 points), senior guard Shan- non Smith (14 points) and Flaherty (10 points), Michigan could not hold off Senior forward Cyesha Goree was averaging a double-double with 14.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game through 25 contests.
