The NCAA has put into place bylaws to help preserve the eligibility of our student-athletes, as well as maintain the integrity of the recruitment of prospective student-athletes. According to these bylaws collegiate institutions may only provide donations (tickets, autographs, etc.) to charitable, educational or non-for-profit organizations. These donations may not help support high school athletic programs or be earmarked, in any way, to benefit recruited prospective student-athletes. In men's basketball donations from a univer- sity may not be made to non-profit organizations that expend funds for the benefit of non-scholastic teams (e.g., AAU teams), recruits or individuals as- sociated with recruits. If you are interesting in asking NC State Athletics for a donation to a charitable cause, we would ask that you complete the NC State Athletics Department's donation request form at http://www.gopack.com/ot/charitable-requests.html. As always, your efforts to help NC State maintain a culture of compliance are greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
