Cazzie Russell Honored At
Crisler Rededication Ceremony

Secrets are hard to keep in this day
and age of social media and the like,
but the one the U-M athletics department kept from former Michigan AllAmerican Cazzie Russell made for
a great night Feb. 15. Russell had no
idea that a giant mural with his photo
and a display celebrating his life and
role in the construction of Crisler
Arena (known as ���the house that Cazzie built���) adorned one wall of the
recently renovated arena.
He found out when he rounded
the corner past the new waterfalls at
Crisler���s atrium entrance.
���He walks in and sees the two-story
waterfall and escalator, and he is just
like, ���Whoa,������ athletics director David Brandon said. ���Then we got up
to the top and I said, ���We wanted to
create two ���wows��� for our fans when
they come to watch us play ��� one is
