Jake Butt Believes He Can
Make An Impact At Tight End In 2013
When Jake Butt committed to
Michigan on Feb. 19, 2012, he possessed some evidence of what the
Wolverines intended to do with
their tight ends Kevin Koger
made 23 grabs for 244 yards and
four touchdowns in 2011 but
most of his conversations with the
U-M coaches were about the future
of the position.
In 2012, Michigan tight ends still
caught just 19 balls, but the receptions were good for 14.3 yards per
catch and resulted in five touchdowns, with true freshman Devin
Funchess proving to be one of the
Maize and Blues biggest playmakers throughout the campaign.
Butt made 68 receptions for 907 yards and 12 touchdowns in his senior season.
