DUNCAN ROBINSON HAS COOLED OFF As of Feb. 15, Michigan redshirt sophomore Duncan Robinson re- mained ahead of recent sharpshooter (2012-14) Nik Stauskas' second-year pace when it comes to knocking down the long ball, but the gap was closing. Robinson was shooting 47.8 percent from three-point range — ahead of Stauskas' 44.7 for the season — but was only at 36.6 percent in Big Ten play with five conference games remaining. Robinson has shown signs of be- coming a better all-around player, head coach John Beilein said after U-M's 82-74 win at Minnesota Feb. 10. He responded with a 4-of-7 showing in that game to break out of a slump. "Two things happened in that game," Beilein said. "No. 1, his re- bounding [nine boards] was very good, and then that runaway [triple] he hit was a huge one for us. They had gotten it back to four — that got it back to seven. "That's something he's been work- ing on … we're trying to get him in motion now. [Purdue's] Raphael Davis will just stand in the corner with him and he won't be able to do anything if we use him as a space guy. We have to put him on the move to get more offense. We put him on the move that way, and he read the screen beautifully and knocked it in.
