2016 FOOTBALL RECRUITING ISSUE MEASURABLES • Has personal bests of 4.63 in the 40- yard dash, a 4.19 shuttle, a 245-pound bench press, a 385-pound squat and a 265-pound power clean. STATISTICS • In 2015, directed Avon to a 10-3 mark and its first regional title since 2005. Season ended in a 35-34 dou- ble-overtime loss to eventual state champion Center Grove. • Threw for 3,103 yards, 37 touch- downs and just five interceptions on 218-of-360 (60.1 percent) passing. • Went 148-of-263 (56.3 percent) passing for 1,876 yards, 21 touch- downs and six interceptions as a ju- nior. • Led team to an 8-3 record in 2014 with a 34-27 playoff loss to eventual 6A state champion Ben Davis. • Started as a sophomore and went 101-of-169 (59.8 percent) for 1,405 yards, 13 touchdowns and nine inter- ceptions. • Rushed for 244 yards in 2014 and another 133 as a senior. • Ran for five touchdowns as a soph- omore, another five as a junior and four more in his senior season. HONORS • Finalist for National Player of the Year honors awarded by the Maxwell Football Club, Gatorade and U.S. Army. • Earned Indiana's "Mr. Football" award and the state's Gatorade Player of the Year honor as a senior. • Was named first-team Associated Press Class 6A (largest schools) All- State as a senior and was honorable mention as a junior. • One of five quarterbacks on the Indiana Football Coaches Association 2015 Top 50 All-State team, comprised of the best players from all classifica- tions. ALL-STAR GAMES AND CAMPS • Threw for 74 yards for the victorious West team (37-9 winners) in the U.S. Army Bowl in San Antonio, Jan. 9. • One of 18 quarterbacks invited to the Elite 11 QB Camp in Beaverton, Ore., at Nike Headquarters in July of 2015 and was named one of the pres- tigious Elite 11 quarterbacks after sev- eral days of competition. RECRUITMENT • Throughout the process visited In- diana (twice) and Notre Dame for a Junior Day on March 16, 2015 after naming Michigan, LSU, Wisconsin, In- diana and Nebraska his leaders. • Committed to Michigan April 3 and visited U-M unofficially April 4.
