2016 FOOTBALL RECRUITING ISSUE MEASURABLES • Has a reported 40-yard dash time of 4.60. Has also recorded a 4.03 in the 20-yard pro agility shuttle and a vertical leap of 39 inches. STATISTICS • Recorded the fifth-highest receiving total (1,713 yards) in the nation by a prep in his senior season, snagging 87 receptions (19.7 yards per catch) with 27 touchdowns. Those numbers, along with three carries for 37 yards (12.3 yards per run) and a touchdown, helped boost Independence to a 15-0 record and the state 5A championship. He also returned six kickoffs an average of 27.2 yards and took back 13 punts for an average of 13.8 yards. • His sterling senior season capped a career in which he made 156 catches for 3,067 yards (19.7 average) and 44 touchdowns. • Made 62 receptions for 1,290 yards (20.8 average) with 17 touchdowns as a junior. • Recorded seven catches for 64 yards, averaging 9.1 yards per reception, in his sophomore campaign. HONORS • Made second-team offense for Max- Prep's 2015 Football Medium Schools All-America Team. • Named to the Class 5A All-State Foot- ball Team by the Tennessee Sports Writ- ers Association. • Was a finalist for the Tennessee Titans' 2015 Mr. Football Awards Class 5A Back of the Year. • Selected Class 6A All-State as a junior by the Tennessee Sports Writers Asso- ciation. ALL-STAR GAMES AND CAMPS • Earned position Most Valuable Player honors at the Columbus regional for The Opening. • Grabbed attention last April at the Quarterback Flight School in Atlanta, earning the No. 9 spot on Rivals.com's Woody Wommack's list of top camp per- formers. • Wommack also said Johnson was "in the MVP discussion" among wide re- ceivers at the Rivals Camp in St. Louis last May. • Attended Purdue's football camp in the summer of 2015 and initially com- mitted to the Boilermakers. RECRUITMENT • Committed to Michigan on Dec. 12, 2015. • Chose the Wolverines over Notre Dame and Miami.
