2016 FOOTBALL RECRUITING ISSUE • During his senior year, took official visits to Michigan (Sept. 25), Missis- sippi (Nov. 20), Auburn (Nov. 27), USC (Jan. 15), and Clemson (Jan. 29). NOTABLE • Born on Dec. 3, 1997. • Boasts a 3.7 GPA. • Attended the same high school as U-M defensive back Jabrill Peppers and offensive lineman Juwann Bushell-Be- atty. 2016 PROJECTION • Gary is an instant-impact player. Even though Michigan should be more than solid on the defensive line, Gary is just too good not to play as a true freshman. THEY SAID IT • Defensive Coordinator Don Brown: "Rashan is a difference maker. He can rush on the edge. He's extremely physi- cal and talented. He has a great motor and plays hard every down. Rashan is also a guy we can move around and play at any of the four down defensive line positions. I was really impressed with how hard he played in the Under Armour All-American Game." • Paramus Catholic Head Coach John Westervelt: "There are a lot of of- fensive tackles walking around that are Rashan's size, but those tackles aren't running sub-4.75 40s. When everyone watches Rashan, they can't believe the get-off that this guy has. He's faster than Gary was ranked the No. 1 prospect in the country by every major recruiting outlet.
