2016 FOOTBALL RECRUITING ISSUE collarbone during an attempted on- side kick, but is back to full strength. 2016 PROJECTION • With Kenny Allen returning for his senior year and coming off a junior season in which he made 18 of 22 field goals, Michigan does not need Nordin to handle that responsibility. The Wol- verines do need a punter, however, with the departure of Blake O'Neill, and while Nordin has a bright future as a placekicker, he has more experi- ence as a punter and could help the Maize and Blue immediately there. THEY SAID IT • Special Teams Coach Chris Par- tridge: "Quinn has a powerful leg and can kick, punt and kickoff, so he is go- ing to be able to help us in all three phases. "He is very athletic. He was a great lacrosse player and had offers to go play high-level lacrosse in college. Quinn will be a guy who can bring a lot of power to our kicking game, and we are really excited about that dimension. "He is a very good teammate. From what I've already seen, from what he's doing with the kids in this recruiting class and on his visits, Quinn's going to fit right into the locker room and be a big part of our football team in the future." • Rockford Head Coach Ralph Munger: "It is such a very special skill — it's like a pole vaulter. You obviously have to have some God-given talent, without question. But you have to nurture that talent and bring it along and have a knee-deep passion for what you are doing. "Quinn has spent a lot of time work- ing with some of the top coaches.
