He was forced to sit the next two games as a result. He re‑ turned in a 48‑46 win over Groveport (Ohio) High Feb. 5, making a floater in the lane with three seconds left for Pickerington (Ohio) Central (17‑4 overall, 11‑2 in league play) to win it. Pickerington (Ohio) Central then upset rival Gahanna, the area's top team, on its home court Feb. 12. The Tigers and Lions wound up sharing the league title. "They beat us the first time [64‑55], and we came out hungry and just wanted it a little more tonight," Wat‑ son told The Columbus Dispatch. Pickerington (Ohio) Central (18‑4 overall, 12‑2 in league action) took a 7‑0 lead and never trailed. Watson scored 14 of his 20 points at the foul line … he averages 19.4 points per game for Pickerington (Ohio) Central, which was slated to play Grove City (Ohio) Central Crossing Feb. 20. • Austin Davis, 6‑10 PF, Onsted (Mich.) High Rivals.com three‑star prospect nationally Davis and Onsted (Mich.) High improved to 16‑0 overall and 12‑0 in conference play behind Davis' 22.8 points, 13.2 rebounds and 4.4 blocks per game as of Feb. 15, numbers that would have been higher had Davis not sat for much of the second half in a number of games due to blowouts. Davis notched 25 points, 13 re‑ bounds and seven blocked shots in a 62‑24 win over Brooklyn (Mich.) Columbia Central Jan. 28. He also scored 33 of Onsted (Mich.) High's 58 points in a 15‑point win at Tecum‑ seh (Mich.) High Jan. 30, going 15 of 18 from the line and adding 12 re‑ Power forward Austin Davis was averaging 22.8 points, 13.2 rebounds and 4.4 blocks per game for Onsted (Mich.) High as of Feb. 15.
