Fincher hit .267 as a junior, led the team with five assists from the outfield, playing primarily center field, and once again made the SportsCenter Top 10 with a snag deep in right-center against East Carolina. He capped his career by hitting .291 as a senior to be named second-team All-ACC. The Chicago White Sox selected him in the 29th round of the MLB Draft. LANE JARRED, GYMNASTICS After arriving from Lawrenceville, N.J., in the fall of 2011, Jarred began making an immediate contribution for head coach Mark Stevenson. She competed in every meet on the floor and all but one on the beam, where she was named first-team All-EAGL. She broadened out to include the vault in 2013, and Jarred picked up first-team all-tournament that season on the floor and second-team on the vault. Her career reached new heights during her junior season after she won the confer- ence championship on the floor. She was also selected second-team All-EAGL on the beam. Jarred repeated as the league's floor champ this past spring and was also first- team All-EAGL on the beam. For the first time in her career she garnered a second- team All-EAGL mention on the vault. She concluded her career by competing as an all-arounder at the NCAA Regional Cham- pionship and earning a career-high 39.100 score. AUSTIN POWELL, MEN'S TENNIS The Muscle Shoals, Ala., native con- cluded his Wolfpack career with 91 singles wins, third all time in NC State history. His career started strong, stringing to- gether 10 straight wins in the spring en route to 25 overall wins, second most on the team. A year later as a sophomore, he would lead the Pack with 21 triumphs, in- cluding a team-high seven versus confer- ence opponents to earn All-ACC recogni- tion. He repeated as an All-ACC selection as a junior, winning a team-best 25 matches, including six against ranked opponents highlighted by an upset of No. 10 Soren Hess-Olese of Texas at the ITA All-Ameri- cans. He finished the year ranked No. 64 in the final singles ITA rankings and picked up an at-large bid into the NCAA Singles Championships.
