Gottfried was an assistant with the Bru- ins at the time under head coach Jim Harrick. NC State also contacted eight other prospects and will continue to evaluate them in July. Birmingham (Ala.) Spain Park center Austin Wiley is the son of two former Auburn basketball players, and the 6-8, 225-pounder checks in at No. 12 in the country. He plays with Petty on Alabama Challenge, but has been injured for part of the spring. Point guard Matt Coleman, who is from Norfolk, Va., is transferring to Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy. The lefty plays for Boo Williams traveling team in the EYBL and is ranked No. 17 in the country. White Plains (N.Y.) Archbishop Stepinac small for - ward Jordan Tucker is ranked No. 26 in the country. The 6-7, 200-pounder is also part of the EYBL with the New York Lightning. Sharp-shooting wing Lonnie Walker of Reading (Pa.) High is a standout for Team Final in the EYBL. Rivals. com ranks him No. 53 in the nation. Three junior point guards from the Carolinas also got contacted by Wolfpack coaches — Devontae Shuler of Columbia (S.C.) Irmo, Lavar Batts Jr. of Concord (N.C.) Robinson and Blake Harris, a Chapel Hill, N.C., native who attends Martinsville (Va.) Carlisle School. The 6-3, 180-pound Shuler is ranked No. 60 nation- ally and plays for the South Carolina Hornets, an inde- pendent program. The athletic Batts of the Chris Paul All-Stars 16s checks in at 6-1 and 165 pounds, and is ranked No. 64 in the land. Harris, who has rotated be- tween being a member of the class of 2016 and 2017, is currently unranked. The 6-2, 170-pounder plays for Team Loaded North Carolina 16s. Last but not least, Grand Rapids (Mich.) Forest Hills Central junior power forward Xavier Tillman has steadily received interest.
